Our wedding is going to take place on Saturday, May 15th, 2004. It will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Tomball, Texas. It is right across the street from Tomball College. The ceremony will probably take place in the late afternoon.

Posted by: Kathrin at December 4, 2003 05:35 AMCongratulations Dion and Nick--Daphne told me about your big news and I had to check it out. Contact me sometime, I would love to know what is going on with both of you. I feel bad we have all drifted. I am glad the two of you found love, and I wish you the best. Maybe we could get together over the holidays?

Posted by: Justin at December 4, 2003 11:07 AMI like to see my name on top of the recent comments list so here goes:
Shouldn't Dion's name be listed first on your post? You violated a major grammar rule.
On the subject of grammar, I'm not an expert by any stretch, but see if you can follow me on this one:
Mine wedding is going to take place...
OR
My wedding is going to take place...
Your post should read:
Our wedding is going to take place...
Or
Dion's and my wedding is going to take place...
I prefer using 'our' because it flows better, but if you believe we might have forgotten who your bride will be then 'Dion's and my' will do just fine.
Please be more careful with our precious language next time. If it turns out my corrections are wrong then you can call me a dick. Actually whether or not I'm right appears to matter not. Clearly I'm a dick based on the intent of my post rather than the content (be I right or wrong (but let's not be silly (I'm most certainly right))).
That last sentence is an example of my newest invention: nested, pretentious (but well crafted) parenthetical digressions.
Posted by: Andrew at December 5, 2003 02:16 AMOh good golly, I may post this on the forums, and I'll change my grammar to suit your needs O' Great Wordsmith.
Posted by: Nick at December 5, 2003 12:29 PMGrammar Pt. 2
Now, the German will correct Andrew in terms of punctuation.
The sentence "Clearly I'm a dick based on the intent of my post rather than the content." should have either a comma or a colon.
IŽll make this a quiz to see who knows where.
So long, take care!
